Facebook Launches New Initiative for Content Creators

Facebook has announced the launch of a new standalone app called ‘Creator Studio’ for content creators. Through this artificial intelligence (AI)-powered app, creators will be able to increase the audience for their videos and posts, as well as communicate more easily with their followers. After a period of experimental operation, the app has now been officially released for iOS users.

The new app incorporates Facebook’s own ‘AI Creator Assistant’. It will provide various suggestions by analyzing the creator’s work style, goals, and audience preferences. Previously, creators had to analyze various charts and statistics to understand page performance. Now, necessary information can be obtained by directly asking the AI. For example, the AI will quickly answer questions such as, “When is the best time to post to reach more viewers?” or “What are followers saying about the posts?”.

Meta’s goal is to make Facebook more attractive in competition with rival platforms like TikTok and YouTube, and to retain creators on its platform. At the same time, there is also the goal that creators should not become overly reliant on external AI tools for content ideation or performance analysis.

One of the app’s notable features is the AI-powered comment tool. It can identify important comments on a page and draft potential replies by following the communication style of the respective creator. Creators can edit these replies as they wish before posting them.

Additionally, upon daily access to the app, creators will see a list of their important tasks for the day. This will include information like the performance of previous posts, progress towards set goals, and comments that require replies, all organized in one place.

Currently, creators in the United States and Canada can use the ‘Creator Studio’ app.

Meta has recently launched several other new apps for various types of users, in addition to creators. These include ‘Forum’, a Reddit-style app focused on Facebook Groups; ‘Instants’, for sharing photos with friends; ‘Pocket’, a gaming app; and ‘StoryKit’, an AI-powered story creation app for children.
